Description

Semi-static kernmantle rope that impresses with higher abrasion resistance, lower elongation, and balanced handling.

Low-stretch kernmantle ropes are tested in accordance with EN 1891, which distinguishes between two requirement profiles: type A and type B. Type A ropes are static ropes designed for applications where the users are secured by a rope, including all types of work positioning and restraint. This also includes rope-supported work within the scope of rescues or cave exploration. Type B ropes are static ropes that have lower performance features than type A ropes (lower weight, smaller diameter, and less strength) and therefore have to be used with the utmost care. They are primarily used for rescue operations in conjunction with suitable descenders (e.g. EN 341).
