In the adventure and recreation business, safety and efficiency are everything. When a key piece of equipment goes down, your entire operation can grind to a halt. This costs you revenue and disappoints visitors. But what if your own team had the certified skills to manage everything from daily checks to full annual service? This isn’t just about compliance; it’s about operational independence. Specialized Adventure Park Training is the key to reducing downtime, cutting long-term costs, and ensuring your park runs at peak performance. We’re breaking down the new training courses designed specifically for professional operators like you.
Prepare your team for the demands of modern adventure parks, ropes courses, and climbing parks with our upcoming specialized Adventure Park Training courses. This series is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge and practical skills for rescue, service, and maintenance. Aimed at builders and large parks with a high volume of Smart Belay systems, this intensive 5-day course trains participants to independently perform all annual servicing and repairs.
Acquiring this in-house competence allows operators to save costs and utilize staff effectively during the off-season. The course includes theoretical blocks, extensive hands-on practice, a facility tour, and special Smart Belay tools. FAQs
Who is the Smart Belay Adjustment course for?
This half-day course is ideal for any park staff, team leaders, or operational managers responsible for daily opening checks and minor troubleshooting. It’s designed for those who need to quickly and safely adjust cable tension to keep the park running.
What is the difference between the Smart Belay Adjustment and Master courses?
The Adjustment course (half-day) teaches your park team how to perform routine checks and small adjustments. The Master course (5 days) is an in-depth program for senior technicians or large park operators, training them to perform the full annual service, major repairs, and complete disassembly.
Does the Safe Descent Level 1 course certify me to inspect the device?
No. The Level 1 course is a “train-the-trainer” program. It qualifies you to instruct your other staff on how to perform rescues using the device. It does not certify you to perform the annual technical inspection of the device itself. For that, you need the Level 3 authorization.
My Level 3 certification is expiring. Is the Update course required?
Yes. This course is a mandatory refresher to revalidate your certificate as a manufacturer-authorized person. It ensures you are up-to-date on all new procedures and standards required to legally perform the annual inspection and maintenance on the rescue devices.
Can I combine multiple training courses?
Yes, some courses are designed to be complementary. For instance, the Smart Belay Adjustment training and the Safe Descent Level 1 Instruction Trainer course can often be taken together, providing a highly efficient training day for your key staff.
