Spring 2025 ushers in an exciting update for the Zippey Clip’n’Zip Trolley and Anti-Rollback Cam (ARC) with the launch of three innovative safety accessories. Designed to enhance user protection and reduce the risk of finger trapping, these new additions are crafted from impact-modified nylon for maximum durability. Whether you’re upgrading your existing fleet or purchasing new trolleys, these accessories offer a seamless way to improve safety and compliance.
What’s New?
The new accessories include the Zippey Central Safeguard, Zippey ARC Clip, and Zippey Hand Guard. Each accessory is designed to address specific safety concerns while ensuring ease of installation. Here’s a closer look at what they bring to the table:
Zippey Central Safeguard

Enables compliance with EN 17109The Zippey Central Safeguard is a game-changer for safety compliance. This tool-free accessory clips directly into the Zippey Trolley, preventing users’ fingers from being trapped in the gap between the sheaves. By adding this safeguard, the trolley achieves compliance with EN 17109, alongside its existing EN 12278 certification.
- Standard on New Trolleys: All new Zippey Trolleys will now come equipped with the Central Safeguard and feature EN 17109 markings.
- Retrofit Option: Already have a fleet of Zippey Trolleys? No problem! The Central Safeguard can be purchased separately and easily retrofitted without tools.
Zippey ARC Clip

Enables compliance with EN 17109The ARC Clip is a small yet vital addition to the Anti-Rollback Cam (ARC). It prevents users’ fingers from being pinched or trapped within the ARC Cam, ensuring safety during operation. Like the Central Safeguard, this accessory supports EN 17109 compliance when used with the ARC.
- Standard on New ARCs: All new Anti-Rollback Cams will include the ARC Clip as standard.
- Retrofit Option: The ARC Clip is also available separately for retrofitting existing ARCs—no tools required!
Zippey Hand Guard

While not part of EN 17109 compliance, the Zippey Hand Guard provides an additional layer of protection by reducing the risk of hand injuries. This accessory replaces the standard front flat end stop on the trolley, preventing users’ hands from slipping off and becoming trapped between the trolley and end-of-line braking systems.
- Factory-Fitted or Retrofit: The Hand Guard can be added at purchase or retrofitted later using just two screws.
Why Choose These Accessories?
- Enhanced Safety: Each accessory is specifically designed to minimize risks associated with finger trapping and hand injuries.
- Durability: Made from impact-modified nylon, these components are built to withstand heavy use.
- Flexibility: Whether you’re purchasing new trolleys or upgrading your current equipment, these accessories are easy to install and maintain.
With these updates, ISC continues its commitment to innovation and safety in zipline technology. Whether you’re looking to meet compliance standards or simply improve user experience, these accessories are a must-have for Spring 2025!
